Tucson City of Gastronomy has announced their 2022 certified businesses and a familiar name is on the list! (Its us!!)
The non-profit Tucson City of Gastronomy, creates this list to celebrate local businesses that excel in the community. These businesses are awarded the Tucson City of Gastronomy Certification by supporting the local food economy, preserving our food heritage, displaying sustainability leadership, and using community-minded business practices.
Tucson Tamale has actually been award two of these certifications this year in two different categories! Our local restaurant, Tucson Tamale Market located at Ina and Oracle, received certification in the restaurant category and our tamale warehouses were awarded certification in the artisan category. This honor was given to us for our work in keeping food heritage alive and for using community-minded practices. We love this community and are grateful to do business here!
