Got questions about how and when our amazing tamales are shipped. Please review our most frequently asked shipping questions below.
    How are your tamales shipped?
We ship all our tamales frozen, with dry ice or ice packs, in an insulated container to ensure they arrive at their destination below 44 degrees. We use either Fed Ex or UPS to ensure they arrive in 3 days or less.
      When do you ship orders?
Typically, we ship on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday. All orders received by Sunday will ship the following week. Some items, like Hot Sauce, may ship separately.
Can I ship to a PO box?
At this time we are not able to ship to PO Boxes due to carrier limitations. Please be sure to include a physical shipping address with your order to ensure it will be shipped without delay.
How much does it cost to ship?
We offer flat rate shipping for $9.95 per bundle of tamales in the contiguous United States.
Do my tamales need to be put in the freezer once I receive them?
You can put them in your refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or placed in the freezer.
      Do you ship internationally?
At this time we are not able to ship internationally due to import-export restrictions. We only ship in the United States.
I received my tamales, how do I know they are ok?
Your tamales are packed frozen to below zero degrees, and shipped with dry ice or ice packs in an insulated container. When they arrive any dry ice used will likely have sublimated during travel. If your tamales are not frozen solid, there are a couple ways to determine if they are edible. It is normal for the outer masa to begin defrosting and be soft to the touch, however the center of the tamale should be below 44 degrees. If you do not have the ability to temp the tamale, the center should be cold. If you have any questions, give us a call (520) 398-6282
Where will my order ship from?
All of Tucson tamales are produced in Tucson, Arizona. We use shipping fulfillment centers across the United States during certain times of the year.
